The Future of Fitness Ages 8 to 98
SIR Fitness 2026 is the Smart Innovative Racquet system, pronounced sir. It transforms the strokes and moves of table tennis into a progressive aerobic fitness program
that can be learned live in a guided class and practiced at home by mirroring to a TV, building correct form, rhythm, and long term health through programmed muscle memory.
Then you bring the ball in at the table and execute what your body already knows.

Origin story in a nutshell
The roots of SIR Fitness 2026 go back to the classic New York table tennis world, when the sport was not just a game but a culture. The earliest chapters of my story
begin at Marty Reisman’s Ping Pong Parlor on West 96th Street and Broadway, where the legends played and where you learned that table tennis is rhythm, timing, reflex, discipline, and personality all at once. From there came the New York Hungaria Table Tennis Team, the community, the training, and the tradition. Marty Reisman himself gifted me a hard-bat. That simple gift sparked a bigger idea. If a paddle can shape skill, coordination, and mental sharpness, then a system built around the paddle could shape long term fitness and movement for everyone. That spark became a patented invention and a full program. The 20 plus chapter book I am writing captures the full journey, from those New York rooms and personalities, to the invention, to the vision of turning table tennis movement into the future of fitness.
What makes SIR different
- It is movement education, not just exercise
- It is built on repetition that programs muscle memory
- It works without a ball so beginners can learn safely
- It transitions naturally to ball play as skill develops
- It combines fitness with live music energy and rhythm
- It is designed for longevity for ages 8 to 98
Live music concept includes pianist Maxim Lando. Rhythm guides the tempo so movement becomes joyful and repeatable.
Full SIR Fitness 2026 curriculum
This curriculum is designed as a complete system. Students learn in live guided sessions, then practice at home using mirrors or TV mirroring.
Each level builds skill and fitness together. The goal is not only to learn table tennis, but to build lifelong cardio, balance, coordination,
posture, and mental sharpness through structured repetition.
Level 1 Foundation
- Safety, posture, grip, stance, breathing
- Rhythm and timing drills without the ball
- Shadow strokes forehand and backhand basics
- Footwork patterns, balance, coordination
- Mirror training and TV mirroring setup
- Intro aerobic sets short intervals
Level 2 Programming
- Muscle memory repetition sequences
- Progressive aerobic sets longer intervals
- Stroke combinations and transitions
- Tempo training with music cues
- Form checks using TV mirroring
- Light ball introduction optional
Level 3 Performance
- Full sequences with live music structure
- Endurance and flow continuous movement
- Ball drills at the table when ready
- Coordination drills for reflex and timing
- Group synchronized routines
- Personal progression plan
Weekly class format
This is the predictable structure that works for all ages and builds habit.
- Warm up mobility and joint friendly activation
- Technique movement block without ball
- Footwork and coordination block
- Progressive aerobic block timed sets
- Music driven routine block with rhythm cues
- Cooldown breathing flexibility and posture reset
- At home assignment mirrored practice 10 to 20 minutes
The take home system
The class is only half the system. The other half is what happens at home. Students mirror their SIR session to a TV and practice exactly what they learned.
This repetition is what programs muscle memory. Once the movements are owned, the student transitions naturally from no ball training to ball training at a table.
Program outcomes
- Cardio improvement without high impact stress
- Balance posture and coordination gains
- Better reaction time and mental sharpness
- Skill pathway from beginner to real table play
- Joyful adherence because rhythm makes it repeatable
